At the core of the BOA Explanation BOA model is the basal ganglia and the dopamine system. This system is usually analyzed as a reinforcement learning system. In addition to the BG, BOA includes the Amygdala, which introduces inductive bias, and the Orbitofrontal cortex, which manages context for the system, and is best thought of under one of the neocortex frameworks above.
